Too long...again....

We are still here in Little Rock...

We have had some amazing times here... It has become very clear to me that I am not in charge...

I always felt like this move came from above... It actually felt "beamed" down to me while driving up the mountain in Beaver Creek, CO.

We have been so blessed here... In Novemeber we welcomed Penelope James Lantzy

And in January God took Monieux to heaven...

For a moment (5 weeks) there were 4 generations of Barnes ladies on this property.  I wouldn't give that up for anything.  We were so blessed to spend such quality time with Monieux before she went to be with Poppy.

Penelope is now 3 months old and we are loving every moment.

little rock!

little rock has been good to us so far.  it is funny how life fall into place when you don't force things you listen and do.

the shop is finished complete with shop dog... or two.  mr. rooster is hard at work creating our future.  it is so exciting to see what he creates.  i don't go up there for a few days and all of the sudden there is a new beautiful piece of furniture.

hazel and harper are in heaven...

we have two baby goslings down at our pond... i have not gotten a photo of them yet as they tend to stay pretty far ways.  mr. rooster and i go fishing a couple times a week... well he fishes and i swing in the new hammock i got him for his birthday.  the dogs love to fish.  i keep taking mental photos of the three of them in this setting it makes me so happy to see my man so in his element, content, and at peace.  this was a great decision that came from above.  i am interested to see how life unfolds for us here on this property.

a lot has happened since i posted last...

we had a big loss and have been working through that...

my lovely mother has been really ill with little to no answers... i feel so terrible for her... i feel totally helpless and frustrated that no one seems to have a way to make her better... we are awaiting an appointment at the mayo clinic in minnesota at the moment... hopefully they will have answers. soon.

good news is...
we have a new addition... hazel montgomery... the three legged wonder dog...

i have a new hair cut...

some wonderful friends have gotten married... some are expecting babies soon... life is ever changing and we have some changes coming our way soon i feel as well... stay tuned...

mr. rooster has a new position at work that is keeping him super super busy... and REALLY tired when he gets home at night...

 spring is FINALLY here!!! thank goodness... of course i shouldn't say it too loud it will probably snow AGAIN tomorrow...


i am SO looking forward to SUMMER... here are a few of the reason why...

beaver creek rodeo... every thursday night!! complete with mutton bustin' and bull ridin'...

yes.. that is my mr. rooster... his brother... and his amigo from college WINNING the burro race the week of our wedding!!

hot summer nights...

it is a free concert in vail village at the ford ampitheather... this guy drives me there... and we sit in the grass and have a picnic... i love it!

those are just a few things that i am looking forward to...

obsession(s)....

so i thought i would let y'all (all 2 of you) know a few (more) things i am obsessed with at the moment...

1. whoppers robin's eggs... minis to be specific... not the large ones... only the minis.

2. camelbak 25 oz purple water bottle... i can't go anywhere with out it... crazy i know... it helps me keep hydrated... which is VERY important...

3. this guy... not enough words to descirbe why i am obsessed with him... he is wonderful... that is it...

i am completely addicted... i have a serious problem... i cannot stop reading the sookie stackhouse novels by charlaine harris....

luckily for me...

there are 8... yes.  8.  and i am on the fifth one...

these are the novels that the hbo series TRUE BLOOD is based on...

mr. rooster and i don't have cable... it is an idea we had right before we got married to not have cable for the first year of marriage... i has been neat.

however we have NETFLIX and so we do still watch TV...that is how this problem started... we added season 1 of true blood to our queue..

.now i am waiting with bated breath for season 2 of True Blood to come to DVD... it has been on hbo for almost a year and i haven't seen it... meanwhile season 3 is set to start june 13, 2010....

the show is not for everyone... but i dig it.
